New OpenAI Academy courses for the next era of work

OpenAI has launched three new courses through its OpenAI Academy: AI Foundations, Applied AI Foundations, and Agents and Workflows. These programs aim to equip organizations and their employees with the necessary skills to effectively integrate AI into their daily operations and workflows.

The courses are designed to transition learners from understanding basic AI concepts to applying them in recurring tasks and managing structured workflows with AI agents. This initiative is built on the principle that practical application on relevant work is the most effective way to learn AI.

"AI Foundations" covers core concepts like prompting, context provisioning, output review, and responsible AI use. Following this, "Applied AI Foundations" teaches how to transform effective prompts into structured, repeatable workflows by defining inputs, models, tools, and review processes. Finally, "Agents and Workflows" focuses on directing agent-assisted tasks, setting boundaries, and reviewing results.

OpenAI is collaborating with partners such as BCG, Accenture, and BBVA to ensure the practical relevance of these courses. Participants receive a certificate upon completion, which can be used to acknowledge their new skills and encourage the broader adoption of AI within their organizations.
