Samsung Electronics brings ChatGPT and Codex to employees
Samsung Electronics is deploying ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex to its global workforce, marking one of OpenAI's largest enterprise launches. This initiative aims to integrate AI across all operations, from R&D to marketing, boosting productivity and problem-solving capabilities.
Samsung Electronics is rolling out ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex to its employees worldwide. This makes it one of OpenAI's largest enterprise deployments, aiming to accelerate AI adoption across the company's diverse operations. The agreement ensures that all Samsung Electronics employees in Korea, and all employees in its Device eXperience (DX) division globally, will have access to these advanced AI tools.
The company plans to leverage ChatGPT and Codex across various functions, including software development, marketing, product development, and manufacturing. The goal is to enhance employee productivity and problem-solving capabilities in both technical and non-technical tasks. ChatGPT will assist with knowledge-based tasks such as information analysis, document drafting, and idea generation, while Codex will streamline coding, debugging, and even turn ideas into functional software or internal tools.
This expanded collaboration builds on a prior partnership between OpenAI and Samsung Electronics in global AI infrastructure. Samsung has been supplying advanced memory semiconductors for next-generation AI infrastructure. With the adoption of ChatGPT Enterprise, their relationship now extends to workforce transformation and company-wide AI integration. This strategic move highlights Samsung's commitment to embracing AI as a core platform for innovation and efficiency.
